On Saturday, June 8th, Cyprus Airways’s first flight took place on a scheduled service connecting Bratislava airport with Larnaka, Cyprus.
The connection will be provided by Cyprus Airways, every Saturdayand Tuesday, until the end of the summer holiday season (September 24th).
The first arrival was rewarded by a water salute from airport firefighters.
There are three airlines to fly from Bratislava to Ryanair, Smartwings and Cyprus Airways. Smartwings flies to Larnaca three times a week, Ryanair operates a flight from Bratislava to Paphos twice a week and the last Cyprus Airways twice a week to the aforementioned Larnaca.
“Smartwings also flies to Larnaca from Bratislava during the summer, it is also possible to buy individual tickets for these flights, both of which are used by both travel agencies and individual clients,” said airport spokeswoman Veronika Ševčíková.
The airline also has expectations of the new scheduled Cyprus Airway.
“We are constantly striving to expand our airline network, so we believe that this destination will become popular among Slovak passengers, thus contributing to the development of tourism in Cyprus,” said Cyprus Airways marketing manager Kiki Haida.
