New Air India route
News of the first non-stop flight between Bangalore, India and San Francisco has flown around the world. The inaugural flight on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner lasted 16 hours and 40 minutes. In addition, the flight was registered as a flight over the northern circle, whose staff consisted of four women captains.
New 747s for Atlas Air
Boeing and Atlas Air have agreed to deliver four 747-8 cargo versions to be delivered to the operator during 2022. It looks like they will also be the last four jumbles to leave the Everette production hall. With 53 Boeing 747s in its fleet, Atlas Air is the largest operator of its kind in the world.
777 for DHL
The year 2020 wished expensive companies. Based on demand and the expansion of the fleet, DHL decided to order another eight 777F aircraft. These pieces should be delivered during 2022. This is not the first order – already in 2018, DHL ordered 14 pieces of this type, ten of which have since been delivered.
Summary of aircraft deliveries for 2020
The turn of the years give an opportunity to evaluate, a summary of the past year. It was no different for the two rivals and leaders in the market of commercial aircraft. While Boeing delivered only 157 aircraft in 2020, as many as 566 were in Airbus. A key factor for the American manufacturer was the long-lasting grounding of the Boeing 737 MAX type.
Pension for 767 at Austrian
Three Boeing 767-300ERs in Austrian Airlines will be phased out of the fleet. The first of these, OE-LAT, made its last commercial flight on January 10. The other two aircraft, OE-LAX and OE-LAW, are due to be decommissioned later this year. All three aircraft have an average of 28.5 years, making them one of the oldest aircraft in the Austrian fleet. The airline envisages a gradual reduction of the fleet, including the decommissioning of eighteen Dash and seven A319s in the period up to early 2022.
Assumption of a return to normalcy in Emirates
Emirates expects to be able to return the entire fleet to service by the end of this year. This should allow for vaccination, which is expected to give you more confidence in safer travel. Emirates currently operates 17 A380s out of a total of 118 and 137 Boeing 777s out of a total of 150. Some of them are used exclusively for the transport of goods.
End of long-distance for Norwegian
In connection with the ongoing restructuring, the Norwegian airline has decided to cease long-haul flights. The change will affect the entire fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Norwegian plans to focus on operations from Scandinavia to Europe. This year, it plans to increase the Boeing 737 with 50 aircraft, with an increase to 70 in the fleet next year. There are currently 140 B737s in the Norwegian fleet.

Renewal of flydubai flights
Due to the increased demand for flights to Dubai, flydubai is returning to Bratislava. The direct connection between Bratislava and Dubai will be resumed on 6 February. During the winter flight schedule, the flights will be operated on Saturday. In the summer season we can look forward to departures on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
